Cesar Millan and his wife Ilusion realized many of their clients didn't have the right tools to control their dogs on walks, so developed an innovative 2 collar design to help you with your dog.
Most collars rest on the strongest part of a dog's neck, giving them leverage to take control of the walk. The Illusion keeps the slip collar at the top of the neck to give you more effective control during walks. It is easy to put on and adjust. Select size by measuring throat circumference at the base of the neck.
Small 13-15"
Medium 16-19"
Large 20-23"
WARNING: If your dog has a neck less than 13" or weighs less than 18 lbs, you should NOT use the collar. The collar is not intended for puppies under one year of age. Dogs with breathing problems, e.g. caused by "pushed-in faces"; dogs with trachea or throat problems, such as Pomeranians; and dogs with elongated, slender necks, such as Greyhounds, should NOT use the collar. Consult your local professional for alternatives.
Re: The product review below: The Illusion is not a choke chain, but a versatile alternative slip collar. Choke chains are metal, designed to tighten and pinch, providing a positive punishment that the dog associates with unwanted behaviors. They tend to be recommended with reservations only for powerful dogs with thick musculature providing protection to the soft part of the neck. The Illusion is a slip collar designed to move easily to eliminate snags that may lead to breathing hazards; the slip collar is woven fabric and not metal. Once a correction is given and released, it returns to a comfortable fit.
